We've just received word from 2K Games that the first round of downloadable content for its shooter/RPG Borderlands is set to hit both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 24th. The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned has absolutely nothing to do with The Island of Dr. Moreau and everything to do with pumping hot lead into the frontal lobes of scary undead critters.
2K Games and Gearbox are proud to announce that The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, the first in a series of downloadable content for Borderlands, will be available for download for Xbox 360 and PS3 starting November 24, 2009 for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99).
Here's a look at some of the warm and friendly residents.

Bryn says: There's too many games on my slate right now. I think I just hit level 12 in Borderlands on the PC, and now I've got Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer staring me down. However, I'm extremely fond of Borderlands and want to grab this DLC just as soon as someone tells me when it's arriving for the PC.
