What is Lion’s Mane? Hericium erinaceus

The Lion’s Mane functional mushroom (#Hericium erinaceus) has been used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine for centuries, nowadays it’s still one of the most popular #adaptogenic mushrooms due to its high availability and the slew of benefits it provides. This fungus grows on dead tree debris and it prefers the cool climate of its native European, Northern Asia, and North America.

There are however some side effects associated with Lion’s Mane supplements, including abdominal discomfort, nausea, and skin rash. It may also interact with blood-clotting medications such as (warfarin) and diabetes treatments.
