Patients with Claude syndrome present with ipsilateral oculomotor nerve palsy and contralateral cerebellar hemiataxia and tremor. The third nerve palsy is usually a partial palsy characterized by ptosis, a dilated pupil, and downward (hypotropia) and lateral deviation (exotropia) of the involved eye.
