Cor triatriatum, Latin for "heart with 3 atria," is a rare congenital heart defect in which a thin, fibromuscular membrane divides the right or left atrium into 3 atrial compartments. Infants are typically diagnosed during the first year of life; however, in some cases, this disease is not diagnosed until adulthood.
