Who is presenting the World’s Strongest Man contest?

James Richardson and Sarah-Jane Crawford will be presenting tonight’s event.

Five time winner of the World’s Strongest Man, Magnus Ver Magnusson, will also be helping with hosting.

Danny Wallace and Colin Bryce will be on hand to provide the commentary for Channel 5.

What is the World’s Strongest Man competition?

The strongman competition was established in 1977.

It is organised by TWI and IMG Media Company and is broadcast in December every year.

Contestants are put through dozens of gruelling trials before they are crowned the winner.

One of the most entertaining rounds is the Atlas Stones challenge.

The strongmen have to place five stones weighing between 15 and 25 stone onto raised platforms of different heights.

Another highly anticipated task is the keg toss, where hopefuls have to throw kegs of increasing weights over a 14ft high bar.

Other entertaining contests include weighted squats, dead lifts and a tug of war.

Who is competing in the World’s Strongest Man?

There’s no doubt that viewers will be left on the edge of their seats when an old championship rivalry is reunited.

Local competitor Johannes Arsjo is set to take of Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson.

British entrants into the competition include 49-year-old strongman Mark Felix and Adam Bishop, who is noticeably less bulky than the rest of the field.

Who is Mark Felix?

A competitor to look out for is definitely Mark Felix - who is representing Britain.

Over the last decade, his notable sporting victories include becoming the Rolling Thunder Champion of 2008 and 2009 and getting third place in Giants Live in 2010, London.

Remarkably, Mark turned 49 two days before he qualified for the 2015 World’s Strongest Man, becoming the oldest athlete to be competing at that level.

He also has the bragging rights of not being beaten in the deadlift at World’s Strongest Man for seven years and winning the World Strongman World Cup earlier this year.
