She was born on August 14, 1938, in Wilmington, NC. Jerry was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Lineberger; father, Woodrow (Pee Wee) Mallard; her sister, Freda Ann Dickens; and niece, Ginger Dickens.

Jerry served at Mary C. Williams School and Myrtle Grove Middle School cafeterias for a total of 22 years of service with New Hanover County Schools Food Service.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, David Krasky and wife Terry of Wilmington and Louis Krasky and wife Lisa of Columbia, SC; her sister, Juanita Rodriguez and husband Johnny of Wilmington; and her brother, Johnny Mallard and wife Carolyn of Wilmington. She has several special nieces and nephews; a cousin, Ralph Beck of Lynchburg, VA, Bob Lineberger of Charlotte; and a loving mother-in-law, Loretta Krasky of Columbia, SC.

Jerry had an extended family; her dear and devoted friend, Sue Wilson and her three “very special daughters,” Missy (her favorite nurse), Tammy, and “Little Heather” who were all there with the family when the Angels came for Jerry.

“Our family would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center, the Doctors and Nurses and NH Regional Medical Center, the staff at the Zimmer Cancer Center treatment facility, and everyone at Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove. We appreciate Jerry’s friends who were there with her throughout her battle with cancer; she fought strong and hard to the very end. We all loved her and will miss her deeply. Jerry was a very “Special Person”, she will always be in our hearts and thoughts”.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Greenlawn Memorial Park by Rev. Angie Davis.
