Push play on that synthesizer doused in delay, making it a real invitingly major kind of sound. You guessed it. It’s time for the Macarena. Los Del Rio, the duo from Spain, bringing their Latin Pop flavour to the table, I mean lets be honest. The Macarena is probably one of the biggest songs of ALL time. Anywhere you are in the world, people will just start doing the dance or something similar at least! The song has gone 4x Platinum. Believe it or not, this Spanish duo have other songs than just “Macarena”, songs that didn’t necessarily chart the way that Macarena did. Here is Baila, an up tempo sort of Latin Pop song that possesses all the formulaic qualities that Macarena have but it’s missing that one thing. Maybe it’s the dance who knows. Antonio Monge and Rafael Perdigones are absolutely smashing it, I mean to this present day too! They have been together for over 50 years! Wild.
