Whether it’s a showstopping bikini pic that goes instantly viral or a sparkling red carpet look, Elizabeth Hurley remains of the most well-known, modern-day fashion icons of our time. Hurley has been all about rocking bold styles (as we all remember from the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral!) She recently told SheKnows that when it comes to fashion, she thinks women should do whatever they want!

“It’s completely absurd if people think they can’t put a bikini on and enjoy being on the beach because people might think their body looks too old. I mean, that’s just obscene. It’s a terrible point of view,” she said. “women should do whatever the hell they want to do. And damn anybody criticizing them.”

Now, if your eyes have been glued to the red carpet as soon as Hurley steps out onto it, then you notice a bold pattern as well. Hurley rocks the color pink any chance she gets. “I end up wearing a lot of pinks because I’m the global ambassador for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation,” she said to TODAY. “Pink is part of my working life!”

Hurley recently told Variety that she believes women should do “whatever the hell they want when it comes to fashion.” She also added how shocked she was by the worldwide attention the dress brought, “Hugh and I lived together in a tiny little one-bedroom flat without a full-length mirror, so I hadn’t even seen the [full] dress until I saw it on the papers the next day. But of course, people also didn’t know that his movie was going to be a sensation.”
