Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 are now compatible with Xbox One, making the entire original trilogy playable on Microsoft’s current hardware. Both games are available today in celebration of N7 Day, a “holiday” recognized by series fans every Nov. 7.

Both Mass Effect sequels were long thought unplayable on Xbox One, due to its backward compatibility feature not allowing for multi-disc titles upon its initial release. Following an update that brought the dual-disc Deus Ex: Human Revolution — Director’s Cut to Xbox One, however, Microsoft confirmed that it had figured out how to make games stretched across more than one disc work with the console.

Mass Effect 2 won particular acclaim upon its initial release on Xbox 360 and other platforms; Mass Effect 3 remains far more polarizing. Not seeing the trilogy through to the end shouldn’t impede a newcomer’s ability to get into Mass Effect: Andromeda, however. After a delay from this fall, the next entry in the space opera-meets-action game franchise is due sometime in spring 2017.

A new cinematic trailer also debuted in honor of N7 Day; watch it below.
