Dynamic News MOD for Gunslinger MOD.
This mod is based on a slogan:
"No fake news, only real facts."
News on the PDA is back, but this time with "real facts", the news reports only what really happened, no fiction.
The senders are real Stalkers who witnessed the incident/event in question.
The original "Dynamic News" mod belongs to the user VanoSanturi, this is a port of it for Gunslinger MOD.
The factions will comment on their experiences in The Zone, has a group of Bandits seen mutant X (or group)? She will say where she has seen it, in what area and what is nearby to find them.
2 groups of 2 different factions have faced each other? or has a group of X faction faced a mutant or group of mutants? You will learn the news from one of those involved, as long as someone is alive, of course.
An NPC from X faction has died? You will know how he died (if he was shot, if a broadcast killed him, if a mutant killed him, if he had a cardiac arrest...), who killed him and where the event happened.
Ultimately, real-time events happening in The Zone will be seen as notifications, and they are all real events, as the slogan says, "no fake news, just real facts".
Another feature is that the Stalkers will warn "well in advance" from different points of the area that there will be an emission, they will do it saying that "it will be in the morning/afternoon/evening/dawn".
These warnings will be made even from areas that we do not even have access to in CoP (at least without the proper mods), the Stalkers will tell us that they have received information from "X NPC" from the 100 rads, Cordon, different places, to give a little spice to life in the game, and these warnings will be real, ie, the emission will happen at the approximate time at which we are given the notice, but with more advance, the Beard emission warnings will remain the same.
About the language (English and Spanish)

Spanish -> Optionally we have the Spanish translation (from me), which is in a separate folder - Está puesto opcional el Español porque bueno, hay más uso en ingles en la comunidad, asi que el Español queda como idioma opcional, espero que se entienda, en cualquier caso al menos está en el idioma ^_^
Compatibility
This mod only works exclusively with CoP + Gunslinger MOD, do not try to use it with Gunslinger + any other mod (see below) because it will not work, there are other versions, right here in ModDB there are 2 versions to use with other mods known, see here:

- MODs like Atmosfer 3, Misery and SGM need compatibility patch, that will be left to someone else, I don't use those mods so I won't make patches for them.
- MODs for textures, sounds, etc will have no problem, as long as the mod does not modify the Gunslinger scripts that have been modified in this mod to make it compatible with Dynamic News, you will be fine.
The Misery mod has the Atmosfear 3 and Absolute Nature 4 (AN4) mods integrated, it is all you need.
How to install
Simply drag the "gamedata" folder to the main Gunslinger MOD directory, NOT to the CoP directory, the mods in Gunslinger MOD are installed in the Gunslinger MOD directory, the mod will be in English by default.
For the Spanish language, we do the above and then overwrite the "gamedata" folder with the one we found in the Spanish language folder, overwrite files and accept.
Known issues
Nothing that I know of, some notifications may arrive a little late, with a delay, this is intentional, some NPCs will report that 2, 5 or 10 minutes ago they saw a certain event (a death, an attack, etc.), they will notify said event "when they can do it", I guess they were busy at the time seeing what happened, and couldn't send a notification right away? to give it a more realistic touch =)
Edit: It seems that the PDA, during "emissions", no longer disconnects, that's the only bug it has, as useful as it is to be able to see the PDA during emissions, it is still a script bug.
If anyone knows how to solve this please contact me, my scripting knowledge is scarce, in any case everything works fine, it's just "that detail".

Will this work with vanilla Call of Pripyat?
Precisely is adapted from the CoP Vanilla version to Gunslinger, so this version specifically will not work with vanilla, however, here comes the vanilla version and other 3 adaptations to other mods:

The problem is that it is in Russian, the 2 files that contain the text would have to be translated again, the files:
"VS_send_news.script" (translation by Gunslinger Discord user KliPeH)
and
"VS_surge_news.script"
They are the ones that contain the texts of the mod, if you download the file from the link I gave you, inside it will have 4 versions, the vanilla CoP version is in the only folder that has the entire name in Russian inside the file, the rest are adapted versions for other mods (SGM, Misery, etc).
You would have to take each file from my mod, and the same file from the vanilla CoP version, and copy the texts from one to the other, if you understand Russian, then you won't have to do anything, just copy the vanilla CoP version to your game and ready.
However, if what you are interested in is a "vanilla experience", I can assure you, 100%, that Gunslinger MOD is the definitive vanilla experience, Gunslinger does several things (and EVERYTHING is optional, it is chosen at the end of the mod installation ):
- Improve the textures of everything (optional, chosen at the end of the installation), if you prefer the original ugly and dull textures, do not install texture add-ons at the end of the Gunslinger installation, although I recommend choosing some of its options, such as one of the 4 options called "AN4" (Absolute Nature 4) to improve the textures of the world, highly recommended.
- Adds weather improvements, also optional, the option is called "CGIM2", and I really recommend it, it just improves the weather of the game and adds a little more, cloudy days and things like that, it's not like Atmosfear 3, which is more complex and even adds different and complicated emissions.
- Add better animations when you eat or use consumables such as first aid kits, bandages, etc., also optional, highly recommended, extreme realism to the animations.
- Gunslinger feature, all the weapons are better made, with better animations and better textures, it improves the gunplay a lot too, this is not optional, this is what the mod is based on, the gunplay is really something very top in this mod, it is probably one of the best you'll see even in current FPS-type games.
Everything is well balanced, don't think you're going to go through The Zone like you're God, you're going to die like a bitch anyway, it just improves the gunplay experience, animations and textures of all the weapons, also adds some new ones, again, everything It is well balanced, you will die as much or more than in vanilla xD
Some enemies have been modified a little, they are more difficult, but that's all, this is part of the "balancing" of the mod.
As I say, all of this is optional except the last part, it is a 100% vanilla experience, I attest to this, I don't play mods that change the game, I don't like it, but Gunslinger respects the vanilla experience 100%.
Just try it, and if you like it, well, you can now use this mod without complications, it really adds a lot of life to the game.
If I dare, I may transfer the texts myself to the vanilla CoP version and include it in this same file as something optional, so I don't have to upload another mod, but I don't promise anything, I don't play vanilla CoP, having Gunslinger mod I don't see necessity, is the ultimate vanilla experience.

It's not just the PDA, seems like your mod also breaks the night-vision googles too - they no longer shut off right after switching on during emissions.
I hadn't noticed that error, I didn't remember that they were turned off during emissions, I guess the PDA error and that one are related to the same error.
Minor errors, I don't know how to fix them, if anyone knows how I will be happy to apply the fix with your help.
