Beauty Q&A: Miranda Kerr Spills the Details on Getting Smooth Legs, Keeping Her Hair Looking Full and Fabulous, and How to Look Sexy in Photographs

Miranda Kerr is gorgeous, full-stop, so when the folks at Venus offered to have her answer some questions for me while she was in town for their "Blue Carpet" campaign, I basically started to rub my hands together like a cartoon character in eager anticipation. Surely, there are things we could all learn from her, like beauty-Daniel-sans to her supermodel Miyagi. And I was right—there were many lessons. But first, a little on the Blue Carpet campaign... This was all centered on a one-day event in Times Square where Venus donated a $1 for every step taken on their blue carpet to the Step Up Women's Network, an organization dedicated to igniting women and girls to fulfill their potential, but there's more to it. All throughout the month of June, every tweet with the Twitter hashtag in June, posted in June, $1 will go to the cause. Got it? Good. Now on to the interview! GIBD: Obviously smooth legs are important to you. Do you have any tricks to making sure you get the best shave ever before a shoot?

Miranda: What I find really works for me is dry body brushing; it helps improve the circulation and exfoliates your skin. Then I use the Gillette Venus & Olay Sugarberry razor, which doesn't even need shave gel to get me a close shave. Also I like to use my KORA Organics Exfoliating Cream and Body Lotion to rejuvenate and nourish my skin.

GIBD: How do you change your beauty or workout routine when you know you've got an important job coming up? (If at all!)__

Miranda: I try to be consistent, so I practice yoga and Pilates to help keep my body and mind balanced. I don't really enjoy cardio, but I find activities like cranking up the music and dancing around my house keep me energized and feeling good. My beauty routine stays the same; I try to be well hydrated and rested. Most importantly, I always try to make a little time for myself!

GIBD: What makeup products do you have to travel with at all times?

Miranda: My must-have products are my KORA Organics Luxurious Rosehip Oil; it keeps my skin hydrated and nourished- especially on long-haul flights. KORA Organics Energizing Citrus Mist; I mist several times through out the day. I also keep my favorite Venus razor with me so I always have silky smooth legs, which keep me feeling confident. I do love a red lip, so I have a few favorites I like to keep in my handbag.

GIBD: Are you someone who likes to play around with hair and makeup? How about eating healthy and working out—are those things that come naturally to you, or do you kind of have to bully yourself into doing them sometimes?

Miranda: I enjoy experimenting and trying new beauty products. It is fun to try new looks!

Luckily, eating healthy and exercise are activities I enjoy, but I still like to indulge every now and then. I don't deprive myself, but I'm thoughtful about my choices.

GIBD: Your hair always looks so full and gorgeous! Any tips you've picked up to keeping it in top shape?

Miranda: I try not to use too much heat or styling products when I'm not working, and just let my hair dry naturally. I feel like that really helps keep it in good condition, as well as regular trims to avoid split ends. When my hair is feeling dry or in need of nourishing, I like to use organic coconut oil as a treatment.

GIBD: OK, for a non-model, if you want to look "sexy" in a photo, what do I do? __

Miranda: I personally think it's about being comfortable and relaxed in your own skin.

Fair enough, though it probably doesn't hurt that whole "confidence" thing that she's stinking gorgeous. But you've got to love that she dished quite a bit here!

BRB, gotta go pick me up some coconut oil.
