In the video you see the teacher wearing the bata de cola I made for the How To Sew a Bata de Cola online course.

I also made the black one that comes into the frame from the left at 15 sec. and the purple one that appears around the 25 second mark.

How much is it?

The cost of a bata de cola as you see it in the photos above, choosing fabric from the list below, is €280 + shipping costs.

Shipping costs vary of course but you’ll have to calculate approximately €30 if you’re in Europe and €80 if you’re in the US.

If you decide to opt for a different type of fabric the price increases, usually by approx. €30 – €50

How long does it take?

Delivery time can vary but is usually around 3-4 weeks. If you need your bata for a particular date please let me know in the comment section of the form below.

How it works:

1. Choose your colours
2. Fill in the form below
3. I email you to discuss/confirm details, availability and final quote
4. You send me the measurements (Here is the form but I’ll also email it to you if you’re not ready yet)
5. I send you an invoice for 50% of the price. Payment of that invoice confirms your order
6. When the bata is ready I’ll send another invoice for the remaining 50% of the price + shipping costs
7. Upon receipt of payment I ship your bata

Choose Your Colours

Tips for choosing your colours:

• If you’ll only have one bata de cola choose colours you won’t get tired of
• Think about what tops and shoes you have to match your bata
• Light colours for the underside ruffles will suffer dirt/wear more than darker colours
• Don’t overthink this 🙂

Write down the colour code, you’ll need that when filling in the form.

Start with the Can Can (for the underside ruffles):

Choose the Outer Fabric

The fabric I recommend is 100% polyester. It doesn’t wrinkle (!!). It is the fabric that works best for batas de cola due to it’s weight and body. It’s called “Stretch” and no, it isn’t elastic. It can be washed in the machine and won’t discolour.

As you can see in the photos above, it’s suited for practice and stage.

Write down the colour code, you’ll need that when filling in the form.
