Carlos Sainz “Will Drive for Himself” Without Listening to Any Team Orders at Ferrari
The man who claimed “Red is my destiny” has been pushed out of Ferrari in favor of Lewis Hamilton. And it has been rather gloomy for the Spanish driver ever since. Carlos Sainz, who still doesn’t have a seat for 2025, has been driving like there is no tomorrow. Well, the season has only just started, but I am being this dramatic because of all that is happening in F1. When Carlos finished third ahead of his teammate Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s crew was missing from parc ferme. It felt like a repeat of Silverstone 2022 when only a handful of people climbed the grill to cheer for Sainz. And this brewing tension indicates a not-so-friendly season ahead.
Leclerc, who started on the front row, finished outside podium places owing to brake problems. On the other hand, Sainz, who started fifth, ended in third. While Carlos Sainz has stated that he doesn’t have to prove anything, which he already hasn’t, the Ferrari driver still needs to put on a show for potential recruiters. And former F1 driver Timo Glock believes the same.
Talking to Sky Deutschland, Glock said, as quoted by Formula Passion, “Sainz has clearly demonstrated that he does not pay attention to any team order – he has taken very aggressive action towards Leclerc and has made one thing clear: he will drive for himself, to shine on the pilot market .”

While that probably will be the story for the rest of the season, for now, Sainz has just been vocal about happily being able to attack.
“Bit of a relief”: Carlos Sainz makes an admission about his 2024 machine
The SF-23 did not live up to its predecessor, but during the second half of the 2023 campaign, it helped break the Red Bull streak. But the car was still very underwhelming. However, this year’s machine has given a bit of relief to 2023’s only non-Red Bull winner. And while he has praised the machine, he also talked about how much he loves racing and being aggressive (much like what Glock observed about him).
