The Baker's Dozen Egg Carton

Perfect for a baker's dozen of bacon, egg and cheeses on a baker's dozen of bagels
The Baker's Dozen Egg Carton

This "concept egg carton" was made by Randy Ludacer of Beach Packaging Design, a guy who comes up with interesting ways to package things for a living. By shifting around the eggs, Ludacer figured out how to fit a baker's dozen of ovoids in a package that, technically, takes up less space than a normal egg carton.

Of course, as he points out on his blog, that doesn't mean that they would actually save space in real life, since supermarket fridges are rectangular (and who knows how the industrial egg farm system would have to change), but that doesn't make it any less cool of an idea.
