It's a gamble.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pretty excited until after I made the purchase and read the reviews that it wasn't 100% that I'll be getting Optimus. Yes it is my fault on my part to not take the time to read into it more but its still deceiving when you only see Optimus pics and not Astrotrain. Of course you will feel excited to jump on it right away since its sold out everywhere or if you can still get it for retail. Anyways I was one of the lucky ones when I recieved my package today to find out I got what I wanted which is Optimus. So if you're ok with ending up with either one then shop away. But I wouldn't have bought it from this site if I found out before hand.

||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Box was damaged/torn with a slight hole in it when I received it. Otherwise... I wanted this figure for the collection. So I would recommend it.

This Listing is Pure Trash
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this thinking it would be Optimus Prime Earthrise, even it said "Styles may very" I was going to take a gamble. These Best Buy m*r*ns in the warehouse sent me a Star Wars Black Series figure...NOT EVEN A TRANSFORMER! Are you kidding me?! AND it was a $20 dollar figure that I paid $50 for...cause MATH!

One of the best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far one of the best Optimis Prime figures they have produced. It’s the closest you will get to a masterpiece edition for a much lower cost.

Hard to find figure, arrived quickly
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Transformers: Earthrise is just starting to filter out to stores as of this review, and the Leader class is exceptionally difficult to track down in my area. I was very happy to see it listed on BestBuy.com. Seeing the listing, I ordered just based on the picture, as it was Optimus Prime I was after. It wasn't until after ordering I saw the listing was for the wave itself, not a specific figure, and that I would be shipped a random figure from that wave. Fortunately, Wave 1 Leader Class only has two figures, Optimus and Astrotrain, neither of which I had. And it was Optimus I received, so I guess I lucked out there, but I would have been fine with either. The package arrived in one day, and in excellent condition. I'm not sure I'll order action figures like this again, however. I can see how it is easier to simply sell a random figure from the box, so that excess inventory isn't left sitting around, but if you're trying to sell to collectors, we're looking for specific figures. They should be listed and sold that way.

Clever transformation but with some build flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While it's not all that terribly different from every other G1 style Optimus It does do a couple clever things with the transformation, and the trailer provides options for storing a whole heck of a lot of accessories. Unfortunately there are some small QC issues that keep me from giving it a higher rating. There was a bit of mold flash in mine that kept the torso from perfectly aligning until I trimmed it, and the legs just don't quite tab together. Not a total dealbreaker, but very much the sort of thing that shouldn't be there. Look, we both know you're going to get this anyway because G1 is pure collector bait and this is the first non masterpiece G1 prime in years to come with a trailer. Just maybe wait till it's on sale or something.

Review is for Earthrise Astrotrain figure
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other reviews have already stated that ordering this online is basically like a "mystery box" and you don't know which figure you're going to get until you open the shipping box. While Earthrise Optimus Prime is pictured, I got Earthrise Astrotrain, which is fine by me because I wanted to get both figures and didn't already have them. The Astrotrain figure has some pretty awesome call-backs to the G1 80s version with some good modern flare. He is pricey for the scale of the figure as he's really closer in size to the class below in this line. Earthrise Optimus Prime is clearly a better value. You do get some "deluxe" accessories with Astrotrain like a separate caboose that doubles as a weapons locker. Hasbro/Tomy use the more elaborate accessories to make up for the price point, sort of like what they did with the Cliffjumper figure, who's at least $5, but more like $10 too costly. Anyway, only buy online if you're okay with not knowing exactly what you get! I expect that this randomness will deepen once the Earthrise line is expanded with additional waves of figures.

Hello consumer..would you like to play a game?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At full price, this is a definite item to avoid. But at the clearance price, it's a decent gamble. The Earthrise leader classes can either be Optimus, Doubledealer, or Astrotrain. And any one of these is a decent toy with Doubledealer being the worst. I ordered 1 and got Optimus. I ordered 2 more, lets see what Best Buy give me.

Q: Questionis this earthrise optimus prime. I see the picture but not the name.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Unfortunately they sent me Astrotrain even though he isn't pictured in the listing. Companies shouldn't sell toys if they don't know how to properly stock them.
Answered by OptimusPrime24
Q: QuestionWhat is the point of this "STYLES MAY VARY" nonsense?? Why on earth would I spend $50 on a transformer when I have NO idea what I'm getting? This makes zero sense to me. I will try ONE more time and if it's another train I'm going to lose it!
Asked by verypissed.
- A:Answer I've had the same issue. I've seen the same problem at Target, same product identification is used for multiple transformers. I believe the blame lies on Hasbro for setting up the product codes this way. You can place an online order for pickup, call the store to speak with a representative and tell them you want Optimus Prime. This was how I was able to get one.
