CATS IN THE QUARTERFINALS
Vermont plays an America East Quarterfinal matchup for the first time since the 2018 season. UVM is 3-3-3 all-time in the quarterfinal round.

The Catamounts are 11-8-3 all-time as the home team in the America East Tournament. UVM's last home playoff win came in the form of a 3-2 victory over No. 3 NJIT in 2021.

FAMILIAR FOE
Vermont and NJIT will meet in the America East Tournament for the third time in four seasons since the Highlanders joined the conference. The Catamounts have won the two previous playoff games, with semifinal victories in the spring and fall 2021 seasons. Each playoff game has been decided by one goal.
Jacob Vitale had the winning tally for Vermont in its 3-2 victory in the fall of 2021.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
NJIT grabbed the five seed by earning 11 points in the America East standings. Maximus Barboto posted a team-high eight assists this season and was named to the All-Conference First Team. Alvaro Heredia received All-Conference Second Team honors after tallying team-highs in goals (5) and points (12). Hugo Tavares also recorded double-digit points (10) for the Highlanders this season. NJIT goalkeeper Samuel Reisgys has earned starts in 15 games this season, posting a .713 save percentage and 1.48 goals against average. The Highlanders enter Saturday's game 1-3-1 in their last five games.

SERIES HISTORY
Vermont owns a 5-1 all-time record against NJIT. The lone loss came earlier this year when the Catamounts fell to the Highlanders 1-0 in Newark, N.J. Alvaro Heredia had the winning goal for NJIT. Â UVM is 3-0 against NJIT on Virtue Field.

ALL-CONFERENCE
Eight Catamounts combined for 10 All-America East honors. The league announced is awards on Friday morning.
Yaniv Bazini and
Zach Barrett were named to the All-Conference First Team.
Carter Johnson,
Adrian Schulze Solano, and
Jake Ashford received Second Team honors.
Nick Lockermann,
Sydney Wathuta, and
Andrew Millar were named to the All-Rookie Team. Bazini and Schulze Solano also picked up All-Academic honors.

AE WEEKLY AWARDS
The Catamounts collected two America East weekly awards on Monday morning.Â
Zach Barrett received his first Defensive Player of the Week honor this season, scoring the winning goal against UAlbany (W, 1-0) in 90 minutes on the back line.Â
Nick Lockermann picked up his fourth Rookie of the Week honor, registering an assist in 90 minutes of Vermont's shutout victory.

RPI RANKINGS
Vermont is ranked 14th in the NCAA's RPI Rankings. America East is rated as the fourth-toughest conference in the country with three teams ranked in the RPI's top 20.

UNITED SOCCER COACHES' RANKINGS
The Catamounts were ranked No. 16 in the United Soccer Coaches top 25 poll on Tuesday afternoon. UVM is ranked second among the three America East schools in the poll (No. 11 New Hampshire and No. 24 Bryant).
