2023-24 (Senior)
OUTDOOR: Opened the outdoor season competing at the Texas Relays in the heptathlon and finished third with 5,662 points...
INDOOR: Finished second in the 600-meter with her time of 1:32.51 and fourth in shot put with a throw of 12.04m (39-6)... Ran the 60m hurdle prelims in 8.57 and the 200m in 25.23 at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invite prior to running the Texas 'C' 4x400 relay... Set a PB in the 300m in 39.03, jumped 5.69m (18-8) in long jump and threw for 11.80m (38-8.75) in shot put at the Dr. MLK Jr. Invite... Record the second-best pentathlon performance in UT history behind her own program record scoring 4,312 points at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic... Broke her Texas program record in the pentathlon with a score of 4,430 points to win her sixth Big 12 title.... Finished with the bronze medal in the pentathlon with her score of 4,427 points.
2022-23 (Junior)
OUTDOOR: Finished second in the heptathlon at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, scoring 5,683 points... Competed in three events at the Tom Jones Memorial - the 100H (13.99), the long jump finishing ninth with a jump of 6.05m(w) and in the javelin throwing a SB 40.07m... Ran a wind-aided time of 13.87 in the 100H and cleared 1.65m (5-5) in high jump at the Texas Invitational... Became the first athlete to ever win three Big 12 Heptathlon titles in conference history scoring a personal-best 6,146 points, winning five of the seven events... Earned the bronze medal at the NCAA Championships in the heptathlon with 6,058 points and setting a javelin throw PB.
INDOOR: Competed in the Commonwealth College Opener in both the long jump where she finished fifth (5.81m/19-0.75) and shot put where she finished sixth with a throw of 12.14m (39-10)... Finished fifth in the 60m hurdles with her time of 8.75 and seventh in the long jump at 5.86m at the Cardinal Classic...Scored 4,224 points in her opening pentathlon of the season with the fourth-best score in UT history, while recording a PB in the 60mH (8.46) along the way... Moved up to the No. 10 All-Time Performer in Texas history in the long jump with a mark of 6.15m (20-2.25) and cleared 1.64m (5-4.5) in high jump at the Tiger Paw Invite... Finished fifth in the pentathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a score of 4,305 points, capped by a personal-best performance in the 800m.
2021-22 (Sophomore):
OUTDOOR: Finished sixth in the heptathlon at the Texas Relays, scoring 5,592 points... Ran a personal-best in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.72 seconds and finished fifth in the long jump with a jump of 6.02m (19-9) in the dual meet against Texas A&M... Competed in the 100m hurdles and finished with a time of 14.18, cleared 1.65m in the high jump and recorded a jump of 6.06m at the Mt. SAC Relays... Competed in three events the LSU Invitational, setting a personal-best time in the 200m (24.65), ran 13.86 in the 100mH and recorded a personal-best in long jump at 6.38m (20-11.25)… Set a personal-best after winning the heptathlon (6,064 pts) at the Big 12 Championships, remaining undefeated at conference… Competed in the 100m hurdles and high jump at the NCAA West Prelims…Competed in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the second time in her career.
INDOOR: Opened her sophomore season in three events at the Clemson Invitational, setting a PB in the 60mH at 8.54 seconds and broke into the Texas All-Time performer list at No. 10 in high jump 1.73m... Became the Texas pentathlon program record holder at the Texas Tech Open and Multis meet with her score of 4,402 points, highlighted by a personal-best in high jump at 1.77m (5-9.75) and the 800m with a time of 2:13.43... Competed in the 60m hurdles (8.73), long jump (5.85m/19-2.50) and the shot put (11.87m/38-11.50) at the Tiger Paw Invite... Defended her pentathlon title with a score of 4,308 points and closed out the competition with wins in the long jump (6.10m) and 800m with a time of 2:18.14... Finished sixth at the NCAA Indoor Championship in the pentathlon and helped Texas finish as the NCAA Team Runner Up.
2020-2021 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: Opened up her outdoor season at the Texas Relays in the heptathlon, scoring 5,813 points to finish second overall, marking the eighth-best mark on UT record... In the Texas vs. Texas A&M dual meet, recorded two fourth-place finishes (LJ - 6.13-meter and Javelin (40.61-meter) and a time of 13.90 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles.... Competed at the Michael Johnson Invitational in the 200-meter, running a time of 25.89, the 100-meter hurdles (14.28) and the long jump with a mark of 5.74-meter... Ran the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 13.90 (wind-aided) and recorded a mark of 6.17-meter in the long jump... Finished the 200-meter in 24.79 seconds (wind-aided), recorded a 1.68-meter jump in the high jump to finish third and a 12.72-meter mark inn shot put at the Texas Invitational... Won the Big 12 Championships Heptathlon, sparked by two first-place finishes in the long jump (6.29m) and the 800-meter (2:14.44). She scored 5,947 points, the third-best performance in UT history... Recorded a personal-best of 5,984 points at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the heptathlon to finish third overall and add USTFCCCA First Team All-America honors... The score gives her sole possession of the second-best performer in UT history and the third-best performance on record.
INDOOR: Made her collegiate debut at the Texas Tech Corky Classic in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing sixth with a time of 8.82 and threw 12.26-meters in the shot put... Competed at the Wooo Pig Classic and ran the 60-meter hurdles at 8.65 seconds and finished third in the long jump with a 6.14-meter jump... Finished second in her first collegiate pentathlon at the Texas Tech Invitational, highlighted by a 800-meter win with a time of 2:20.08 and scored 4,057 points - a score that marks her as the second-best performer on UT's list and the fourth-best performance in school history... Competed in the 60-meter hurdles (8.78), 4x400-relay (3:51.93), the high jump (1.62-meter) and the long jump (5.57m) at the Tyson Invitational... Big 12 Indoor Pentathlon Champion, scoring 4,213 points and improving her No. 2 all-time performer score and posted the second-best performance in UT history... Finished seventh at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the pentathlon, scoring 4,162 points - the fourth-best performance on UT record.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended the Riga Classical Gymnasium … the Latvian U18 national-record holder in the heptathlon (5,629) … won the pentathlon (4,140), 60m hurdles (8.65) and long jump (6.04m) at the U20 National Championships in 2020 … won the pentathlon crown at the International Junior match in Minsk in 2020 … placed second in the heptathlon (5629) at the U18 European Championships … also took sixth in the long jump … finished fifth in the 100m hurdles at the European Youth Olympic Festival.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jelena and Jurijs Blazevica … has one sister, Margarita … the first member of her family to attend UT … first-generation college student-athlete … began competing in track and field at age 13 … her mother, Jelena, was a triple jumper who placed seventh at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta … enjoys cooking and making things by hand when away from competition.
