I have the Original Mass Effect 2010 edition because I purchased it for full price when it came out. That version of the game is good. This "version" has predatory EA software installed and they have censored Miranda's body in many cut-scenes which you can see in side-by-side comparison videos on youtube.

Not worth playing even when its free. Do not waste your money on this garbage. If you want to play this game as it was originally intended you will have to sail the high seas to get a "pure" copy of the game. You can literally get a better version of this on torrents for free than the version they are demanding money for which is an outrage.

I already paid full price for this game way back when but if you are a new steam user looking for the "authentic experience" you need to sail the high seas because all the versions they are "selling" for actual money are trash.
