About Palmer's Sedum
Plants in the Sedum genus are super diverse, and are native to regions all over the world. Horticulturalists have bred them to create even more variietes that come in all manner of shapes and colors! Their succulent leaves help store water, and they are incredibly easy to propagate. Just gently pop off one of the leaves and with water and sunlight it will grow into a whole new plant. 🪴

How to fertilize Palmer's Sedum
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Palmer's Sedum after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What to do with this prop? As you can see I'm attempting many new succulent props! This question is about the one with the looooong stem, Rhea; I figured the roots would grow from the lowest node, which is obviously closest to the damp soil, but instead the roots are popping out from near the top. My question is, should I trim the stem, so the roots will actually get some water, or leave as-is? The stem is mostly dried out and has almost completely calloused over, I think you can tell from the picture. So I don't know if roots will eventually grow from lower nodes or not? Or if trimming the stem would stress the prop, since it's already in a fragile state? Some advice would be great, thank you! #propagationstation #propagation #propdontshop

Repot or not? Hey guys! I’ve had this pot of succulents probably since April 12th 2022. They haven’t grown much and both my #SandRose and the browning one that may be Palmer’s Sedum seem water deprived. It would seem like a good idea to repot but I’m definitely no expert so I wanted to come here for some advice. It is also currently winter and they are most likely dormant right now so I’m not sure if that effects the decision to repot or not. What I’m trying to say is are there too many in the pot? (Never been repotted) #help #SucculentLove #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

This plant came from my gmas in Modesto and was super green. Now he's turning yellow and I've been following water reminders. Any advice? He's very sentimental. Thanks #Sedum #overwatering #underwatering

I see new growth, but some leaves are turning a reddish orange. Is that normal? I'm new at this and this was my grandma's plant who passed, so she needs to live on in memory. Thanks #Sedum #yellow #newgrowth

Amber was handed down to me. It's so full that I can't tell what soil was used and can't stick my finger in there to tell if she's thirsty. She used to live where it was really hot and sunny. Santa Cruz weather is different. Is she looking normal? 😬 #Sedum #yellowing #normalornot

My Golden Sedum has brown dots on it. I can’t tell if it’s getting too much sunlight or I’m over watering it, or if it has pests? What does it look like to y’all? #GregGang #Sedum

Not sure what to do with this I just got this from a friend that didn't want it anymore. It's very long and flops over. What should I do with this lol? I think I identified it properly but if it's something else that has just been neglected let me know because I have no clue. There are a lot of roots coming from the leaves. #Sedum
