Under the patronage of his Excellency Ban Ki-moon, this scholarship allows students that are engaged in the SDGs to study and develop their skills at the Management Center Innsbruck, a prestigious university in Europe. Supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a joint mission of the 8th UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and MCI | The Entrepreneurial School.
This scholarship enables you to study at a reduced tuition fee of EUR 1,500 per year (tuition fee for Executive Master’s program may vary). The scholarship is applicable for the first year of the respective bachelor’s or master’s program and may be extended to the subsequent year of your studies upon positive evaluation and successful completion of your first academic year.

Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship Benefits
Candidates who apply and get selected for this university scholarship program will receive an amount of € 11 000. This scholarship will enable you to study at a reduced tuition fee of EUR 1,500 per year (tuition fee for Executive Master’s program may vary). This program is the 8th UN Secretary-General Scholarship on SDGs.
Note : Scholarship amount will offset the corresponding amount of the tuition fees for the first academic year. It cannot be used to cover any other expenses like travel, accommodation, etc.

Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship Eligibility
The 8th UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon scholarship program is open for candidates from all countries in the world who have submitted an admission application to the respective MCI study programs. Applicants must be:
- Students who have been engaged and committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aim to further engage with and promote these goals during their studies.
- Available for freshers who are required to pay the current annual tuition fee.
Furthermore, application to :
- Masters’ programs are available for Non-European nationals only.
- Executive masters’ programs are possible for candidates of all nationalities.
Selection Criteria Regarding The SDGS
Applications will be selected based on the following criteria:
Current (or past) commitment to the SDGs
- Nature, extent and impact of engagement
- Evidence provided.
Future commitment to the SDGs
- Feasibility of the defined goals
- Match and congruence of applicant’s SDG focus and chosen MCI degree
- Potential impact of applicants´ goals.
