Uh-Oh! Broken Nazar Boncuk (Blue Eye)…

Shoot! As I was moving an extension cord in the outdoor patio in the house, the Nazar Boncuk (or Nazar Boncuğu) aka Blue Eye, that’s on the wall fell down and broke.

Nazar Boncuk (Blue Eye) is a Turkish tradition – a lucky charm which is believed to protect one from the Nazar (or Evil Eye).  It is made out of glass, and it is made to look like an eye, so that it would look straight back at the spell-caster. So the bead would guard one from any negative energy or from jealous looks of others.

When the ’Nazar bead’ is broken for whatever reason, it’s beleived that it worked and protected one from some evil-eye that probabily one was unaware of at that moment in time.

So this is what happened; my nazar bead is broken, and there is someone out there who doesn’t have pure wishes.  Kem gözlere şiş!
