If you try to search for a username with an underscore in Join Requests on the Group Admin page, the search bar will clear and the member list will revert to default (what happens when there are no results), even if that user actually has a join request pending. The filter for the member search on the same page and the filter for the audit log are fine – it’s only an issue with the Join Requests filter. Here’s a gif of the bug:
