Financial Services
Leading financial services organizations, such as Pioneer Investments, have turned to the Google Search Appliance to provide instant, secure access to all enterprise information. The Google Search Appliance is an integrated hardware and software product that uses Google's powerful search engine technology to bring universal search to your business.

How you'll benefit
  • 360° view of the customer - As a financial institution, you have many touchpoints with your customers - at your branch locations, telephone support representatives and online. Instead of creating multiple silos of information, the Google Search Appliance lets you access all your customer information at once, for a true 360° view.

  • Timely Access to Information - As a financial institution, your investment decisions, risk decisions and customer decisions are based on timely, up-to-the-second information to provide a competitive edge. Empowering each employee with the information to make these decisions is a powerful reason why many financial institutions are turning to Google search technology.

  • Manage distributed information - Instead of paying high-priced consulting to integrate global information silos, your users can easily search through all their information easily with the Google Search Appliance.

JP Morgan Chase - JP Morgan Chase, one of the world's leading financial services institutions, chose Google Search Appliance as its solution for both internal and website search. The deployment is at a global level, touching 180,000 employees, 255 intranet sites, and 17 external websites. Employees report higher than 85% satisfaction with search.

Fineco Bank - FinecoBank, part of Capitalia Group, is the first direct bank in Italy. More then 450,000 online customers search across news, stock prices and personal account information. Fineco uses the Google Search Appliance for indexing a Sybase and a SQL server db fed from third party news suppliers and for indexing the personal home pages of their customers. One of the main characteristics they most appreciated was the concept of an "appliance" - meaning no more installations, tuning, or consulting.

H&R Block - As the leading tax return company in the US, H&R Block was looking to upgrade its internal search solution. They turned to Google and implemented two Google Search Appliances, intended to power their new employee portal.

Morgan Stanley - Morgan Stanley, one of the world's leading financial services institutions with 55,000 employees, and 695 locations in 28 countries, was looking for an intranet search solution. Morgan Stanley chose the Google Search Appliance due to its low touch and high value proposition. The results: users like the search, IT administrators like the 'really low admin', and management likes the fact that the employees can now focus on 'better problems'.

Royal Bank of Canada - RBC is Canada's largest bank as measured by assets and market capitalization. They employ approximately 69,000 people who serve more than 14 million personal, business and public sector clients throughout offices in North America and over 30 countries around the world. They chose the Google Search Appliance to power website search and internal search. Multi-lingual site search was a very important requirement for them, especially with French and English content.
